So without further ado… here we go! Hi friends, and welcome to my cozy little corner of Bookstagram! I’m Deena — lifelong book lover, romantasy enthusiast, and proud cat momma to two adorable fur babies, Baloo and Oliver. I officially joined the Booksta community in October 2024 and have loved every second since. When I’m not photographing gorgeous books (or “accidentally” sneaking my cats into those shots 👀), you’ll find me crafting everything from jewelry and sewing projects to resin art and sketches. I’m also a huge Disney fan and a certified scuba diver, because why not keep life magical both above and below the surface? My favorite auto-buy authors include Penn Cole, LJ Andrews, Helen Scheuerer, and Melissa Roehnich, just to name a few. I adore collecting special editions, hyping up amazing authors (indie and trad), repping for fantastic bookish companies, and—of course—reading! (Currently deep in my audiobook era 🎧). My favorite part of being here? The incredible friendships, the amazing authors and small businesses I’ve connected with, and those squeal-worthy moments when I bond with another reader over a shared obsession. This is my honest review. 💭QOTD: Which books have you read with mind blowing plot twists? 🎨Peep the amazing art by @judyblu27 ! ‼️‼️ SPOILERS BELOW‼️‼️ Okay. Let me just start by saying this was one of my most anticipated reads—I’ve heard nothing but glowing things about it. I went in completely blind as told so by several friends, and the hype?? SO REAL. My expectations were sky high, and somehow… they were still shattered. My brain is scrambled eggs in the best possible way. ✨ 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: I did the Kindle + audio combo and devoured it. Andi Eloise absolutely nails it—her tone, pacing, & delivery pulled me in and made it feel like I was in the story with Brynn, holding my breath at every twist and turn. The audio played like a movie in my head and highly recommend this format for this one! ✨ 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙨 & 𝙍𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥𝙨: I haven’t felt this emotionally feral about a couple in a while. The banter, the slow burn, the journey —utter perfection. Watching them go from enemies to frenemies to love had me giggling, kicking my feet, yelling into the void. Acker’s character development and reveals had me absolutely rooting for him. And Brynn’s journey with her powers and identity was so compelling. Also… Messer owns my whole heart. I need more of him. Please and thank you. ✨ 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 + 𝙋𝙡𝙤𝙩: I loved how the worldbuilding unfolded naturally—never overwhelming, but just enough to keep me grounded while the plot ran WILD. The political intrigue was top tier. And the twists?? I am still not okay. Rachel really had me questioning characters I swore I trusted and reconsidering ones I thought I hated. She steered us so carefully, only to yank the rug out in the final chapters. The twists, the emotions, the stakes… I already know I’m rereading this before book two drops, because there’s no way I caught all the brilliance the first time around. 10/10 mind melt. THE WAY I GASPED 😭✨ The special edition covers that @kensingtonbooks is doing for The Legacy Series are genuinely some of my favorite editions on my shelves, and Dawn of Chaos and Fury might be the prettiest one yet. I cannot wait to see it with the rest of the beautiful editions they’ve done. I am completely obsessed. I love all of @melissa_k_roehrich ’s books, but there is just something extra special about Tessa, Theon, and Luka. These characters own a permanent piece of my heart, and seeing this series get such stunning special editions makes me so happy. Kensington truly understood the assignment with these. Thank you @delreybooks for my #gifted PR box of Broken Dove by @authordanifrancis !! JUST A FEW MORE SLEEPS UNTIL RELEASE DAY ON 05/12/2026!! Listen, I absolutely inhaled Silver Elite, so I was beyond ready for Broken Dove and this book somehow raised the stakes. The plot was absolutely plotting (especially in the second half), the expanded world building and politics had me fully invested and I loved learning more about the psychic powers… however I now have approximately 700 new questions. The character development and found family were so well done and the romance had my jaw on the floor for reasons I cannot discuss yet but I cannot wait to see everyone’s reactions after release day. And the plot twists had me actually screaming and DMing friends in all caps. I am so excited to dive back into this book again via Audio to pick up all the nuggets I missed. Amanda Dolan is one of my favorite narrators! And this gorgeous finished copy will match perfectly with my Silver Elite edition and had found its happy place on my shelf. 🥰🥰 Thank you once again @delreybooks for this amazing box and all the goodies.
