Read the full review! 👇 “I just finished Awkwardly Ever After and I think you’d really like it if you’re in the mood for something fun, a little chaotic, and romantic in a very “this is going to go wrong before it goes right” kind of way.

The setup is honestly what hooked me—Aubrey is literally cursed so that every romantic situation turns awkward or goes completely off the rails. Like, *spectacularly* off the rails. It’s ridiculous in the best way, but it still manages to feel grounded because you really feel for her.

What made it work for me was the dynamic between Aubrey and Lex. They start off trying to approach the whole curse like a science experiment, doing these structured dating scenarios to figure out what’s going on, and it slowly turns into something way more personal. The shift from “we’re just solving a problem” to “oh… this is actually complicated feelings” was really well done.

It’s funny, a bit messy, and definitely has that awkward, secondhand-cringe dating humor, but it also has a sweet core to it.
