Today was my last day after six years of lucha with @maketheroadny . From taking on billionaires to bosses in our backyard - to forming mutual aid bike brigades and shutting down bridges, it’s been a beautiful and chaotic ride. In all the outreach blitzes, midnight meetings with deliveristas, birthday parties and laying loved ones to rest - the lesson is that real organizing requires sacred trust. Trust to push coalitions, organizations and people to rewrite what is possible. Palabra de comunidad- “ahora todo terreno, nacimos para triunfar.”
The staff and members of this organization for real give their whole selves into community.

this month, her first son Erick, working double and triple shifts back to back - had a heart attack at 28.
today Paty says goodbye to her first son.
