“Smudge Bowl” out here blessing the whole city of Toronto 💨
Big love to @amazonmusic for the support and putting Indigenous voices on the global stage 🌎
The new single is OUT NOW comment SMUDGE and I’ll send it directly to you 🤝🏽
🦅⚡️
It’s National Addictions Awareness Week and I want to first of all send out love and support to those in the depths. For those still struggling. These are a few things that I used to combat my own addictions in the past and even in the present:
• Connecting to culture, language, and ceremony
• Rebuilding and strengthening family bonds with love and presence where I can
• Getting out onto the land
• Recognizing that our people come from warriors
• Reaching out to friends and family for help
• Taking accountability for my actions
• Helping others understand what I’ve learned
• Diving into my art and expression
There’s many more but I’ll let you add to the list if you have some suggestions.
🦅
I wrote this when I was going through a hard time mentally.
Expression through the arts, ceremony and mental health supports are what help through them times. No one’s immune to that so remember to take care of yourself and check on your strong friends.

Drezus is one of Indigenous music's most electrifying forces. An Anishinaabe/Nehiyaw hip hop artist from the Great Plains who built his name writing anthems for movements, earned an MTV VMA, plus five Indigenous Music Awards and has held his own on stages alongside Drake, Shakira, and Cardi B without ever losing the cultural edge that makes him undeniable. His newest single "Smudge Bowl" signals a sharper, more evolved sound.

🎵🏹 Music and the Arts are the sharpest arrows in the quiver of civil disobedience. 🧡💪🏾🌲
These forests are some of the most biodiverse and carbon-rich ecosystems on Earth, yet they are still being logged today. The NDP are treating BC like a resource colony, clear cutting old growth forest like there’s no tomorrow. This must end.
The message from this movement has always been simple: protect what little remains.
📢 Tell the BC government to end old-growth logging now:
