I know I may be late⌠but Is there a study that shows how party promotions have sustained restaurants, hotels, and venues? Specifically black-led programming?
Because if weâre being real⌠the rooms get filled, the bars stay moving, and the spaces stay relevant because of whoâs bringing people in.
Atlanta has no shortage of promoters.
But hereâs the truth: promoters and hospitality groups are not the same.
Promoters:
â Focus on the night
â Drive a moment
â Move crowd for an event
Hospitality groups:
â Build ongoing programming
â Understand the business behind the venue
â Create consistency, retention, and brand alignment
â Think beyond one night to long-term sustainability
The shift is necessary.
Because venues donât just need a crowdâŚ
they need strategy, consistency, and partners who understand how to build an experience over time.
The opportunity for sustainability is:
Promoters evolving into hospitality groupsâand venues recognizing the difference.
That could equate to bigger contracts and a share in the business.
Thatâs where the real growth and sustainability is.

On behalf of the Popular Culture Collective at Georgia State University and Professor @themoivory , I had the pleasure of joining the Beauty and Fashion Panel: Building a Career in Atlanta vs. New York vs. LA.
Thank you @hey.lee.alexis for curating such a thoughtful and impactful conversation.
ATL didnât just host a press conferenceâwe set the tone. This was just round two.
Thank you to Mayor @andreforatlanta and @atlantaoca Executive Director @adrianevjefferson for trusting me and the great team I get to work with to execute a vision thatâs bigger than a moment. @atlculturehouse is a signal of where Atlanta is goingâand who itâs making room for.
As Mayor Dickens said, âWe want to make sure that the World Cup happens with Atlanta and not Atlanta. This is how we make Atlanta a city of opportunity for all.â Thatâs the mandate.
And letâs be clearâthis is not a pop-up. This is infrastructure. A permanent cultural platform built to create access, visibility, and opportunityâwell beyond FIFA.
Proud to step into this role as Executive Producer and build with some incredible creatives!

Because the goal isnât just to love what you do⌠itâs to live from it.
Had the opportunity to speak at AwareFest @awarefestival created by @robertfredericksmith about what it really takes to turn purpose into profit. Thank you to my co-panelists @mr2weeksout@misslawrence and @paigeshari for a powerful conversation on what it really means to start from nothing and build something that pays you back.
Still building. More to come đŤśđž
Iâve kept this one under wraps⌠intentionally.
For the past few months, Iâve been working with @atlantaoca to build something bigger than an event â a cultural platform designed to put Atlanta on the global stage during the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Introducing: ATL Culture House @atlculturehouse Produced by @atlantaoca
And today, we are opening it up.
We are now accepting programming concepts from cultural producers, curators, and organizations who are ready to create experiences that actually move people.
We are looking for work that is intentional, well thought out, and rooted in culture:â¨â˘ Conversations that shift perspectiveâ¨â˘ Music that moves the roomâ¨â˘ Fashion that tells a storyâ¨â˘ Storytelling that feels real and necessaryâ¨
This isnât about filling space. Itâs about building something that represents Atlanta the right way â in front of the world.
If youâve been waiting for the right platform to show up with purpose⌠this is it.
Applications are now open.â¨Link in bio.
