I posted this yesterday on TikTok but decided to post today on here for someone that may need to hear it… Mother’s Day can feel heavy when the people who made love feel like home are no longer here physically. Missing your mom or grandma doesn’t mean you’re weak it means you loved deeply. Grief and gratitude can exist in the same space. Try shifting the day from only focusing on the loss to also honoring the love they poured into you. Celebrate them by talking about them, cooking something they loved, playing their favorite music, looking through pictures, going to church, lighting a candle, or simply thanking God for the years and memories you did get. Love like that never truly leaves you. Their presence still lives through your heart, your strength, your softness, your wisdom. And remember God is close to people carrying grief. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” - Matthew 5:4 🦋 Mother’s Day may hurt differently this year, but don’t let grief make you forget how blessed you were to experience that kind of love. Your mom/ grandma may not be here physically, but everything they poured into you still is. Honor them with love, joy, and gratitude today. God will carry the heavy parts💗💐 Happy Mother’s Day 😘

Yall I faced a big fear of mine @ work today 😂 cause anybody that know me know I do NOT do horses (ima real city girl ok)… like at all. Every Monday i be praying the kids dont ask me to go 🥶 NGL Working with my babies and seeing how this horse therapy calms them down, heals them, and brings them peace… i decided to give it a shot today & im glad i did .. we didn’t ride but i was closer than ive ever been (baby steps) 🙂‍↔️ As my birthday approaches i want to do things ive never done before , unlocking new fears … nonetheless I can’t wait to go back next week 🙂‍↔️ THIS IS YOUR CONFIRMATION TO JUST DO IT Oh and today is also my Deltaversary🤍🔺❤️ 16 years with a lifetime to go… 4.27.10 will forever be one of my favorite days …shouts out to my Linesisters AJOD Spr10.. forever devoted to yall ladies 🥹 & shouts out to , ZEALOUS ZETA TAU , I wouldn’t have wanted to pledge under any other chapter🤍

Super emotional typing this for a couple of reasons 🤧 If you truly knew my mom you know she played about a lot of things .. always laughing & joking but one things for sure she didn’t play about her family or DELTA SIGMA THETA SORORITY INC❤️ (Gamma Mu SPR 72) Last night my baby cousin (1st cousin might I add) became my SOROR and I am beyond proud… slick don’t have the words to explain the feeling … I’ve always waited on this very moment 😌 (the big cousin that teaches the kids the strolls cause why not, when they’re going to grow up to be a deltas anyway🤗) Oh & yall know my mommy became an angel 2/22 so this was meant to be because I present to you master number #2️⃣2️⃣😌🤍 2️⃣2️⃣isn’t just a number… it’s a reminder. ✨ A reminder that what you’ve been praying for, thinking about, and working toward is aligning even when you can’t fully see it yet. 2️⃣2️⃣carries the energy of building something real.
