New beginnings:
Andec Cinegrell becomes Andec once again – with full dedication to our craft, new services, and new partners.
Over the past years, we’ve grown as part of Cinegrell Berlin, developed our lab, realized wonderful projects, and expanded our services. All of that remains – and we’re excited to grow even further.
As of today, we are Andec Filmtechnik GmbH, reconnecting with a history that goes back to 1957. After the restructuring of Cinegrell Postfactory, Cinegrell has ended its direct presence in Germany and is focusing again on Switzerland.
We’ve welcomed most of the former Postfactory team and are building a new, streamlined postproduction & restoration department at Hasenheide 9 – featuring Baselight & Resolve grading, Avid & Premiere editing, Diamant Restoration, plus two ARRISCAN XT scanners (one with Wetgate) that perfectly complement our high-end SCANITY HDR scanning.
This allows us to offer a globally unique spectrum: traditional film lab services, analog & digital restoration of historical works, and modern end-to-end workflows for feature films, commercials & content.
We’ve already completed restoration projects for Arsenal, the German Film Archive Foundation, the Saxon State Archive, the SLUB, and the Estonian National Film Archive – and will be fully operational in restoration & postproduction by January 2026.
New: collaborations with
@_mystic_collective_ in Copenhagen and
@lenso.filmservices in Madrid. And we’re thrilled to welcome Richard Muller (Virtual Production Supervisor for Wes Anderson’s Phoenician Scheme) who will strengthen our workflow, colorimetry & image science.
We look forward to continuing to develop, scan, grade & preserve film with you – for high-end productions as well as artists and hobbyists.
Long live film!
