A closer look at the mural I recently painted in my hometown Las Vegas at the Fire Station 15 in Chinatown. I was so excited to paint a dragon on these big metal doors & painting on doors for the first time!! this one is loosely inspired by Korean dragons from traditional and folk art, dancheong 단청 inspired patterns woven into the scales. painting the patterns felt so meditative, I’ve always been mesmerized by them. These murals mark the first chapter of 15 installations, including 8 sculptures, we are creating within this sanctuary of natural beauty, home to incredible flora and fauna. Set along a 1.6-mile path, this outdoor museum is curated as an “Ode to Nature,” inviting everyone to experience the beauty of art and the natural world together.
