We’re proud to present
“Everybody’s Going Through the Changes”
a solo exhibition of new works by @raviamarzupa
Opening Reception:
NEXT FRIDAY, May 1st | 7–10PM
940 Royal Street
During @jazzfest weekend 2
Ravi will be in attendance
Zupa’s work lives in that rare space where history, politics, mythology, and pop culture all collide. Drawing from everything from propaganda graphics to punk ephemera to spiritual iconography, his pieces feel both ancient and completely wired into right now.
The title of the exhibition comes from a track by David Byrne, “Everybody Laughs,” off his newest album, something Ravi had on repeat while making this body of work. The song reflects on the strange, hyper visible world we’ve built online, where everything is shared, performed, and consumed in real time, all the time

“Performer”
Laura Laine
2025
33.5” x 30”
Charcoal and graphite on cotton paper
Laura Laine’s figures always feel suspended somewhere between fashion illustration, apparition, and psychological portraiture.
In “Performer,” Laine pushes that tension even further, by folding the body into something sculptural, while maintaining the delicate precision and impossible grace her work has become known for internationally
Born in Finland, Laine has created work for Vogue, The New York Times, The New Yorker, Sephora, Zara, H&M, Elle, The Guardian, and countless others, while exhibiting across New York, London, Los Angeles, Helsinki, and beyond
This piece will be included in BLOOMRUIN opening May 29th at Mortal Machine Gallery in New Orleans alongside new works by Ruby Roth, Isalu Ishii, and Virginia Deaver
