Midlake’s The Trials of Van Occupanther is back on vinyl. This album was a safe harbor for me during an extremely turbulent time and it was a huge honor to help @midlakeband bring this one back around.Remastered beautifully by @christophercolbert, pressed by @goldrushviny, artwork by @manalivecreative, for vinyl masters by me

Hey instagram friends,Many of you know I’ve been a long time advocate and supporter of @friendsofnoise.Friends of Noise is a Portland based nonprofit that is giving young creatives a leg up by using the arts as a means to teach life skills and career development. They are on the verge of acquiring a lease on a building of their own to house their innovative programming. This building will be a safer space where teens can collaborate while producing all ages concerts, get paid as emerging sound engineers and build an inclusive all ages music scene.Wanna get inspired? Check out FoN new video link in my stories or the FoN YouTube channel.Get with what’s good, plug in where you can.Friends of Noise is a positive place doing truly wonderful work with tangible results. So much goodness to be grateful for.A few months ago, my pal and DJ mentor Jimbo invited me to co-host on his radio show. We had so much fun, we’ve kept it going. Been learning the ropes of running a show live in studio and having a total blast. You will find us on Electric Avenue 4-6p most Wednesdays @xrayfm— DJ Vern as in wyvern (yuck yuck).Most recent episode was in honor of @thewalkmen who I had the extreme privilege of seeing play out that night. Thanks to @buffler for gifting me the tickets. It was truly amazing.DJ tunes archived here: /playlist/d2df067b-da67-46fb-a121-7cdd7fea06ebNot pictured was the incredible @agalloch_official reunion show Sat (thank you @moonbladder_pdx for hooking that one up!!)
