We hosted our first recital (for the Montavilla Guitar Studio) at the Off Beat!
It was such a joyful experience to see kids making music on our stage and a room full of parents and loved ones enjoying them and the space! 🤗 We're going to be riding the high from this event for awhile!

As we get closer to opening the Off Beat we want to share that we're launching a pay it forward membership model so young people can access the Off Beat at a deep discount!
It's called the Season Pass Scholarship and we need your help to fill it up so we can pack the room with deserving yet underserved youth!
Here's how y'all can help make this a success.
1. We need young people to apply for a Season Pass Scholarship. Recipients will get 3 prepaid shows per month, discounts on additional tickets and merch and early access to workshops and other FoN programming
2. Mom, Dads, Aunts and Uncles, Grands, donors, CEOs, Small businesses, can pay it forward and buy a season pass for a young person they know or donate to the pool of applicants!
3. Visit our Willamette Week Give Guide profile and donate to the cause! A lucky donor that gives today will win a $500 gift card to Portland Nursery!

Y’all thought we were done for the year?! This summer, for ONE NIGHT ONLY in Portland, Oregon, we are gonna be playing some tunes at the new(ish) ALL AGES VENUE @theoffbeatpdx (in the former Dancin Bare strip club near our old punk house the Sea Shanty!) along with our pals @the_skylarkers and @sodajinxpdx because you only live once, ya know? This will probably be it for the year, because we are old and need to sleep or watch Matlock and Golden Girls. As always, we are looking for local advocacy groups to table and talk on the mic about their org, so if you work in mutual aid, harm reduction, whatever, give us a shout. Will Spaghetti Hands be there? Will there be free hot dogs? Will Plate @plate_the_magnificent serenade us with his doinks? ONLY THIS POLL WILL TELL! #diypunk #pollsandstuff
