Juniper Blessing was a transgender student attending the University of Washington. On May 10th her life was tragically taken in what I can only consider to be a hate crime. Only four days prior to her murder, the White House released it's United States Counterterrorism Strategy for 2026. In this document they call for the rapid identification and neutralization of what they consider to be "violent secular political groups whose ideology is anti-American,
radically pro-transgender, and anarchist." Earlier in this same document, President Donald J. Trump wrote "if you hurt Americans, or are planning to hurt Americans, 'We Will Find You and We Will Kill You.'" It is clear to me that the United States government is calling for violence against those who are transgender and our allies. Do not forget Juniper Blessing, do not ignore what they are doing to us, and do not abandon your communities. Thank you, and have a lovely day.
