After five and a half incredible years at
@thefacemagazine , it’s time to say goodbye.
When I first joined The Face in 2020, I couldn’t quite believe I got the job. After hearing about the re-launch, I was honoured to join a magazine with such legacy. Thank you to
@brooke_mccord and
@m_j_whitehouse for seeing something in me early on. You taught me so much.
Three and a half years later, I went from Social Editor to Head of Social. That role stretched me in ways I hadn’t expected. At times, I was frightened. But it changed me for the better.
@jadewickes @m_j_whitehouse @_davyreed @eniitay @infinite____jess @carmenfribbins @tiffany.l2 @merlebutcher the best editorial team in the game!!! Words can’t capture it. We lived and breathed this magazine. We cared, often more than anyone else could see. I’m so grateful for everything we built together and even more for the family I found along the way.
@carmenfribbins , my co-pilot in shaping the social visual identity over the last few years, it’s been a ride and I’m so proud of what we achieved.
To the entire Face team: thank you for making work feel like play. Some of the best years of my life with the most special team. And to every freelancer, reader and follower, thank you for being part of the journey.
The Face has always been the best at what it does and that feels more true now than ever, even as we close its doors. It wasn’t always easy, and we didn’t always get it right. But I think we did a good job. I wouldn’t change a thing.
Long live THE FACE xx
