Kenny Allstar, the sonic griot of Lewisham, a vessel carrying the stories of young artists and their circumstances of struggle, triumph and resilience. His story paints a vivid portrait of the Black and working class experience in Britain.
Launching his DJ career on BBC radio in 2017, he swiftly secured a coveted spot in the 1Xtra rotation, captivating listeners as a tastemaker, curating and promoting a diverse range of voices within UK rap. By 2018, he was at the helm of BBC 1Xtra Friday Nights Rap Show, simultaneously releasing his debut album, ‘Block Diaries’, featuring epic collaborations with artists such as Headie One, 67 and M Huncho. This year, Kenny has established himself as a household name, becoming the host of Radio 1’s Rap Show, bringing his skills and insight to an even broader audience.

@kennyallstar remains meek and modest discussing his career. ‘I don’t feel like taking credit for doing what I love and doing what I think my duty is,’ he continues. ‘I brought some epic moments that may have elevated or may have made other people elevate their game, so I’m happy about that.
