OCEANA is the debut Honours knitwear collection by Alberta Bucciarelli, drawing from the vivid colours, textures, and ecosystems of Australia’s marine landscapes. Entirely knitted using Shima Seiki WHOLEGARMENT® technology at the University of Technology Sydney, the collection translates coral reefs and ocean life into sculptural, dynamic forms that blur the line between craft and innovation. Hypnotic hues, rippling surfaces, and experimental knit structures position knitwear as both a technical frontier and a storytelling medium, one that reflects Australia’s natural identity while quietly reminding us of the beauty worth protecting.
