THE ARCHIVES: For two years @savilucia and I have worked with Wes Anderson and his team (especially the brilliant @benadler__ ) to create the exhibition ‘Wes Anderson: The Archives’ together with @matthieu_orlean at @cinemathequefr and with exhibition design by @abrogersdesign and graphics by @pentagramdesign . It opened at @designmuseum earlier this week. Through the selection of over 700 objects from Anderson’s films, we make clear the care, craft and collaboration integral to his process. It has been such a joy to explore the extraordinary archives and dedicate time to learning and observing. The show will remain at the Design Museum until end of July 2026 before touring globally. Photographs by Richard Heald, Ab Rogers Design and me.

Today @disegnojournal celebrated the release of its 40th issue with a beautiful cover by @scheltensabbenes and @bertjanpot on gorgeous @gfsmithpapers stock. Congrats to the multi-talented editorial team: editor-in-chief Oli Stratford, publisher Chris Jones, assistant editor Helen Gonzalez-Brown and super designers @studioakfb Can’t believe how quickly the years pass, I still vividly remember sending No.1 to print in autumn 2011. Thoughtfully @tomokoazumi brought a pristine copy of issue 1 (in which she features) to the party - and guests could browse all 39 back issues at @kneesupspace in Hackney. Thank you to all contributors, advertisers and readers who has made Disegno possible. I can’t quite believe it. 🍺

SOUND ON! Nutmeg is coming to the @designmuseum this November. Wes Anderson: The Archives brings together props, costumes, scripts, photography, notebooks, music and - of course - puppets, to tell the story of Wes Anderson’s extraordinary film making, from the early 1990s to now. Curated by me, @savilucia and @matthieu_orlean Tickets available via the design museum website. #wesandersonthearchives

Humbled and honoured to have been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from @uartslondon.indo where I studied for my BA. It’s been a long and winding journey since then and yesterday I was grateful to be able to reflect and express my gratitude for all the support and words of wisdom that I have received along the way. Sadly I don’t get to keep the garb!

Just spotted that the furthest end of the Westbound District Line platform at Westminster escaped the high-tech concrete cladding that Hopkins architects gave the rest of the station in the early 2000s. Did they run out of material? Was it an awkward corner? Either way it is a satisfying slip of the mask that reveals layers of history.

“Hur fucking fresh som helst” was creative director Agga Stage’s reaction upon entering the finished Design Stories exhibition for the first time on Friday. I couldn’t agree more, even if I can’t quite translate the notion of what she said into English. For four years this has been my moonlighting curating gig and while a little tiring on top of my day job, it has been such a joy to work with the teams at @rohsska and @officemmx (who designed the gallery) and @aggaannemettestage and Alexander Söder (who created the graphic identity and the catalogue, which I also edited). Yesterday we opened the new gallery to the public and it was packed from morning to evening with record attendance of over 1700 people! Design Stories is the new permanent gallery dedicated to the wonderful collection of the Röhsska Museum of Design and Craft in Gothenburg. The method of curation was through collaboration and discussion with school children, university students, accessibility groups and museum visitors, the end result is a non-chronological, thematic exhibition looking at six themes (desire, innovation, change, creativity, efficiency, belonging) that investigates what design can enable. The exhibition also features the new platform Super Ö, which invites organisations and individuals connected with design and craft to actively question and discuss the content of the exhibition, its themes and the museum collection. First out is @kulturlabbet and the Stor Portion / Large Portion installation (final two images) by 11 practitioners attending Kulturlabbet. For the opening of Super Ö the works reflect on the themes of creativity and belonging. Thank you to the brilliant team at Röhsska and thank you @due_nina for inviting me to be a part of this. Congratulations all! ❤️
