grossen Parolen, obschon sich bei genauerem Hinhören eine Lust an inneren und äusseren Widersprüchlichkeiten kundtut. Nach einem Abstecher in die Welt des Eurodance mit “Auf der Suche nach der verlorenen Night” (Young & Cold Records, 2023) besinnt sich das Duo mit “Wiener Linien” (Young & Cold Records, 2024) wieder auf ihr Kerngeschäft irgendwo zwischen Darkwave, Post-Punk und Neue Neue Deutsche Welle. Sie knüpfen damit an den Sound der ersten beiden Alben “Ungestüme Reiter (Choléra Cosmique, 2020) und Untergang und Finsternis (Detriti, 2021) an und pflegen einen ebenso eleganten wie unverblümten Stil in Wort und Klang.

Das Ministerium für geheime Meinungen ist ein klangpolitisches Improvisationsorgan. Ein musikalisch-parlamentarisches Experiment mit improvisierter Tagespolitik.
Der Abgeordnete Beistandsvorsitzende des Lobbyvereins Investor*innen für Bestechung und die Präsidentin des Vorstandes für das Ministerium für geheime Meinungen haben zwei neue Minister*innen berufen, die Teil der zweiten Tagung sein werden.
Das schmuddelige Synthesizer-Setup wurde inzwischen durch eine rockige E-Gitarre, diverse Flöten und zwei Steppschuhe erweitert. Das neue Genre Offenbacher Hard Synth wurde geboren.

Ich bin aufgewacht
und habe festgestellt,
dass es auf dieser Welt
keinen Gemeinsinn mehr gibt.
I mean, there was never much of it to begin with. At least not in the world as we know it. In this world where we were taught how to live, how to be, how to behave and how to share.
But now, today, here in the present, any narrative about common ground - about collective consciousness - seems like a legend. In the rarest cases, it’s even a longing anymore.
Even my friends, my immediate surroundings, my family - even they seem beyond my grasp. They appear to be wrapped in this film, this slippery film that makes it impossible for us to truly connect. We give up, turn around, turn away and run from each other.
It is my inner consciousness - my deep, personal sensitivity - that wants to reach out and grasp my immediate environment. To hold on, to grip, to seek eye contact, to meet those eyes and fix them in place and see in them that they see it too, that they feel it too, that they demand it too, that they miss it too - that they also have it: this sense of common ground.

Society finds itself in an endless crisis. We save and speculate. But there’s barely any investment in the common good anymore. Space is becoming scarce.
Art first loses its spaces. Then it stops looking for them. The longer this continues, the more the desire for them dies too. What remains is emptiness and art in meaningless fragments on the content exploitation conveyor belt.
The connection to our neighbors has long since broken. Instead, we drift in abstract identity blocks. Superficial characteristics separate us from each other. Turn us into enemies.
Art occupies the undefined spaces in between. Art gets to the bottom of what’s questionable. Art breaks through the binary logic of narratives.
Those who seek art seek meaning beyond words. The artwork remains our last shared cipher. A boundary object.
Art spaces must be able to survive without state funding. The control of our attention must not be left to algorithms.
Culture needs new paths. New channels of communication. New resilience. New mobility. An INTERZONE.
The INTERZONE project aims to connect people and support artists.
INTERZONE is today a regular meetup, a platform, an SMS distributor. Tomorrow a warehouse, a magazine, a museum without walls, a performance.
