“Gentle Persuasion” by Doug Hream Blunt is a standout track from his 2010 album of the same name. It’s super catchy, has subtle percussion, and a smooth-ass bassline!
It has an intentional lo-fi taste, which makes it feel quite raw and authentic. It’s unforgiving if you don’t want to nod your head to it, especially when the vocalist joins for the second half of the track, filling it with fragile, beautiful singing.
The perfect companion to wake up with, on those rare sunny autumn days!
The song centers on love and romance, expressing a gentle approach to relationships. It reflects a sense of vulnerability in love, acknowledging the desire to connect deeply with another person while also creating a safe space for expressing feelings and desires. Maybe it’s your very own confession of love?

Das 9. Fabrik-Jazz-Festival steht für offene Formate, genreübergreifende Begegnungen und musikalische Experimente im Moment.
Am dritten Festivaltag mündet der Abend im 3. Set in den Temporären Elektronischen Salon mit Oliver Leicht und Oli Rubow.
Zwischen elektronischer Klarinette, Saxofon, Samples und elektroakustischen Dub-Drums entsteht eine pulsierende Performance zwischen Jazz, Clubsound und Live-Elektronik.
Wie auch im monatlichen Salon-Format der Fabrik sind spontane Gäste und musikalische Querverbindungen ausdrücklich Teil des Konzepts.
Der Salon öffnet sich als Spielfläche für Begegnungen, in der Grenzen verschwimmen und Neues live improvisiert entsteht.
Mit DJ 2cloudy geht das Set nahtlos in die Afterparty über und bildet ein offenes, gemeinschaftliches und neugieriges Finale des Festivals.

We’re excited to share a selection of favorite Vinyls and the stories behind them, chosen by none other than @jisul_tiago and @thisis2cloudy , this Saturday. The noon will be hosted and co-curated by @simon_doerken , founder of @diebesondereplatte in Darmstadt.
Join us in the foyer of Museum Angewandte Kunst— the first tune will sound at 4:00 PM.
Should the weather not cooperate, the talk will instead take place on the first floor of the Museum Angewandte Kunst.
