I’m so thrilled to share The Sound of Us - making this record with Nick, Wayna, & Akie was one of the early bright spots and hopeful moments for me during the pandemic. It was also maybe my first in-person session, in June 2021? (shoutout the 🐐 @Mike_Kuz at @LoungeStudiosNY for vocal engineering 👌🏻👏🏻) We debuted a chamber arrangement live with Akie and Wayna later that year as part of @carnegiehillconcerts , which planted the seed to do an entire program with Akie the next year, culminating in one of my OTHER all-time fave collabs, #AlienLoveSongs.🤩😭
The Sound of Us has already been out in the world doing good work with wonderful organizations like @All.Our.Stories.Inc & @BraverAngels , and personally brings a very timely sense of hope, empathy, and shared humanity in the midst of a, er, not always exceptionally harmonious social & political climate. I hope it brings the same to you. ❤️

I’m so excited to finally share this first SNOWSHOES single - I haven’t officially released a solo track in over a decade (just literally 500 straight collabs 😅🎢🏃🏻♂️)
While I’m calling SNOWSHOES a “solo” project, it wouldn’t exist without the help of some wonderful artist buds, namely: Steph Thom helped with lyrics & arrangement, Dan Millice did the mastering, Amanda Wallace provided a photo for album art, and bass maestro Joshua Crumbly “features” on the track (tentative plan to invite a different artist bud to feature on every release).
Steph and I went to Josh’s spot way back in Oct 2019, and he recorded several passes over the instrumental, which I then chopped up and arranged - tbh he laid down so much beautiful bass work, I might have to make another 5-7 tunes out of it. 😂 😍

Surprise! I’m getting married tomorrow & releasing a song today! I made this in September 2018, a hymn inspired by my late mother & the place where she lived (also the exact place where @mandacwallace & I will say “I Do” tomorrow 😍😘💍) and still maybe my personal fave thing I’ve done. It’s a celebration of newness & passings, of finding the eternal within the ephemeral. I finished it exactly a year before mom passed, and I know she loved it.

Gaia Gaea is out today!
I made this track December 18, 2018 on the island of Paxos in Greece, a place steeped in mythology (indeed, in view of the mouth of the fabled River Styx, gateway to the underworld).
The album art features one of many pics I’ve taken on my rooftop, where I go most days around sunset. This one was August 4, 2024.
It’s minimal, incremental music that folds into and around itself. A clarion bell motif coaxes a bed of swirling synth arps and chamber strings to gradually bloom, interlacing and eventually organizing around a thunderous chamber trip hop beat. Lofi cinematic psychedelia, soothe core, ambient mythwave.

Last week we brought the ORNADA experience to NYC—the hometown of our live-score band. Experiencing this film with The ORNADA 8 is unlike anything you’ve ever felt in a ski movie. Their soundtrack doesn’t just accompany the skiing; it elevates it.
“Sensory overload” is what we keep hearing—top-tier skiing layered with a live, eight-piece orchestra of world-class musicians. The connection between the music and the riding hits differently when it’s being created in real time, tailored to the energy of each athlete.
And having Dillon Cooper on the mic—introducing the film, the athletes, the band, and even stepping on stage to perform his segment live—turned the whole night into something historic.
No ski movie has ever been presented like this. We’re proud to share it with the world.

Here’s a little slice of the music I made for a piece by @all.our.stories.inc about the Valley Queens, a Zambian girls soccer team that also provides opportunities for the players to further their education.
I love incorporating field recordings whenever possible as I’ve done in other AOS pieces; in this case, from some footage of the girls’ incredible singing & handclaps after a match. Music is a big part of the team experience - singing on the bus, before and after matches - and the unbridled enthusiasm and shared expression gave me a nice reminder of what music making is all about.
All Our Stories is helping raise money for a Valley Queens bus, school fees, and skills training - it’s a super cool project, link in bio to learn more.
PS For the nerds, the original song was actually in 6/8 which made for an interesting flip!
