First ski decent on Aiguille de Triolet, a hanging ice wall, 60 degre and to go there you need to hike 800 vertical meter in exposed train. If you fall you die typ of skiing. Some times the universe, the stars, the moon and the sun harmonies at the same time. Ever since I saw this beautifull rock formation I been dreaming about capturing its beauty, With a person standing on top fulfilling his passion. And today almost 6 years after my accident when I lost one of my close friends, mentor in the mountain and big inspiration I made that dream to reality. Together with @dharma.dirtbag that I meet for the first time just an hour before and @tof_henry we made a dream not just real, timeless. What we do In life, every action we take will effect the outcome and how our life will turn. @tof_henry has been my new mentor for the last years, with out him I would not have pushed myself in the mountains as I have this last years. And this day we meet Sigve Elstad, a claimer and as Tof sad "finaly I meet a real mountain goat, he is so fast in the mountain" Sigve works at @klatrekafeen in Henningsvear and during his first years climbing the same friend as me was his mentor to. It's amazing how we all are connected in one way. The desert's imprints vanish with the wind's gentle sway, just as ski tracks in snow dissolve with the next snowfall's play. This enlightens me, for it is not the tracks we leave or the things we own, but rather the gifts we bestow and the connections we've sewn. Life's true essence lies not in what we amass, but in the selfless acts we embrace as we pass. The simple act of Sharing a coupe of Tea, memories forever I will see. Never would my 8 year old me dream of camels and Sahara desert ski. The simple act of sharing a cup of Tea will reminisce me to be precent and what a moment together means. Tof touched every heart he meet along the way sharing his passion, energy and laughter every day. Tracks that will stay, nor wind or snow can take away.❤️
Going down memory lane to a cold day almost ten years ago when @tannerhall420 dropped into one of the most beautiful pillow lines imaginable. Turn after turn in true skiboss aura, just flying through deep snow and big pillows.
Then everything changed in a second.
Slammed his knee into his face, split a tooth clean in half, and ended up ripping it out.
The last slide shows the line and the exact moment just before the crash. One of those photos that feels different once you know what happened a few seconds later.
