Art Gallery // Eton St, Camperdown We built this space around a clear structural frame, surrounded with concrete and solid brick walls. The steelwork is exposed and finished in Dulux Reddy Brown, tying the framework together and giving the space a strong, consistent edge. Large pivot doors were built within the structure and open directly to the courtyard, bringing natural light into the room and extending the living space outside. The Bedrooms // Eton St, Camperdown These bedrooms were built to feel calm, solid and private. We worked closely with the design team to get the balance right between warmth and durability, using timber, brick and concrete so everything ties in with the rest of the house. Light and airflow were a big focus, so the openings, screens and circulation were all set out to keep the rooms naturally ventilated without losing privacy. Finished Project // Eton St, Camperdown Excited to reveal that “The Corner Shop House” on Eton St is officially complete and the response has been incredible. This was a detailed, layered build and the team delivered from start to finish. Honoured to have this project featured in @thelocalproject “Situated on a corner block in Sydney’s inner-west suburb of Camperdown, the house speaks to both old and the new. With a restored brick facade, soaring concrete forms and distinctive breezeblock screen, The Corner Shop House is a considered response to a layered urban site designed around the movement of the sun” More to come as we unveil this project! Swipe to the end to see the old Corner Shop mixed with new. Photography: @_clintonweaver Architect: @downienorth Styling: @atelier_roomonfire Build: @bcm.projects

Kitchen in Lake Como Villa, Italy by @studiodaminato photographed by @frederik_vercruysse | From the architects: “Constructed in 1909 as a large family residence, Villa Peduzzi commands exceptional views over the northern Italian Lake Como. Set within terraced gardens, the villa is built upon a Medieval-style stone plinth. Decorative elements in the Italian Liberty style are integrated into the architectural façade of the villa. Largely abandoned since the 1960s, STUDIO DAMINATO were commissioned to oversee the transformation of the interior architecture, design and decoration. Materials, textiles, finishes and colours throughout the villa were inspired by the original painted wall and ceiling frescoes in Liberty-era pastel tones. As with all of the studio’s residential projects, much of the interior joinery, fixtures, hardware, furnishings, floor textiles and wall lighting were specifically custom-designed, with particular 1930s or mid-century vintage furniture and lighting pieces selected alongside newer pieces procured for the villa.”
