Announcing that my long form passion project, “There’s Something About (the virgin) Mary” will be rebooted in 2026 for the Twelfth Annual New Orleans Giant Puppet Festival! ✨ “There’s Something About (the virgin) Mary” is an erotic puppet comedy about a woman’s journey of sexual and self discovery. Join four heathens in reimagining the story of Mary’s immaculate conception into gay fan fiction. There’s no telling who or what (demon) she’ll do. 👹 This piece of devised theater was first cooked up as a 15 minute fever dream in 2022 between my collaborators @lil_brb and @_rebamitchell_ (making up WET WIG PRODUCTIONS) for @undiscoveredcountries birthday! Since then we have edited the play twice slowing adding in more puppets every show, last at @fringepvd 2024 when @queenbabysrevenge joined the team! 💕 We are currently plotting fundraisers leading up to the April festival in Philly, Providence & Brooklyn with some more amazing puppeteers! It’s a privilege and delight getting to work on this project with my beloveds once again and I can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
