At the same time, we want to shift attention to what is happening outside metropolitan bubbles like Berlin. At a time when right-wing, conservative, and regressive forces are gaining strength worldwide, across Europe, and especially in Germany, this feels more urgent than ever. Particularly in rural areas of eastern Germany, it is becoming increasingly dangerous for people who do not fit a dominant idea of “Germanness” — especially queer and non-white people. My piece “does not” is being released today on the B-side of the first compilation from the independent label Trips. The VA release has a fundraising goal for Polylux e.V., which supports antifascist and queer initiatives in eastern Germany. The compilation brings together artistic ideas rooted in and around psychedelic and club-oriented music. The A-side focuses on rhythmic, dance-driven tracks, spanning Progressive Psytrance and related styles such as breakbeats, psytech, and darkpsy. The B-side shifts the focus. Calmer, atmospheric, and more experimental sounds take center stage. Ambient structures open up a more contemplative dimension. The VA compilation’s fundraising goal is central to the project: at a time when far-right forces are gaining strength and social regression is becoming increasingly visible, we want to take a clear stance. That is why all proceeds from the project will be donated to Polylux e.V., which supports antifascist and queer initiatives in eastern Germany. Today is the day. We are finally releasing the first KLEMkast. For the opening ceremony we invited Hypertexture, that we already had the pleasure to host, last November, at our KLEM event in @crackbellmer @_hypertexture_  is a co-organizer of the Berlin-based party series and soon-to-launch label @tripsberlin  , dedicated to the wide spectrum of psy-influenced sounds. He is also part of the team behind @paradisemustbenice  , a festival that brings together music from Ambient and Experimental to Punk, Black Metal, Noise and related stuff. As a DJ, Hypertexture moves freely between contrasting genres, with sets that adapt to the moment. This mix is, with minor changes, the set he played at our event on the 15th of November at Crack Bellmer. The idea for this set had been around for several years, and the event provided the occasion to finally pursue it. It mainly features texture-rich, darker ambient tracks, as well as (ambient) works by several black metal bands that have accompanied Hypertexture for quite some time (and more experimental stuff.) A soundscape tracing a solitary walk through a frozen, mystical night. The set will be released today at 5pm on our KLEM soundcloud.
