Across cultures and centuries, the body has always existed as something to discipline, sculpt and essentially overcome. Today, this takes the form of stacks of peptides, TRT, nootropics, GLP-1s, supplements, sleep compounds, stimulants, hormone therapies, and the phenomena of looksmaxxing; the pursuit of engineered perfection advanced by a new generation on the rise. ⁠ ⁠ This impulse has also collided with technological hyper-visibility and access. Today, ordinary people encounter more images of idealised bodies and faces in a single afternoon than previous generations may have seen in a lifetime.
