feeling very lucky to have our roadside shutter restored, painted in Falu röd pigment : lovingly brought across continents by my parents and @ulricablixt (tack så myckeeet!!!)
This is a folk paint. Its development process entails simmering water, rye flour and linseed oil into a paste, then mixing in iron-oxide pigment from the Falun copper mines to create a matte coating that soaks into wood.
Its hue is specific and ubiquitous to Scandinavia, and I have a lingering suspicion the colour brings with it the presence of tomte (gnomes) ♥️🍄

Holly’s styling focus looked at unusual ways to showcase jewelry, as part of nüumagoo’s non-prescriptive approach to the wearability of their pieces, while Oliver’s direction drew upon punk elements and the raw human feeling of the brands ethos — moody and playful, all at once.
