Our thinking goes a little something like this: to capture the iridescence of a rainbow leaf beetle and dilute it into a thousand forms. Digital-scapes give way to all manner of play, in which the microcosm of one thing can lead to the production of another.
This beetle, in all its glory, has given way to a speculative garment by FAWN, containing a multitude of possibilities through its process.

MAKERâS CAMPAIGN | VOL. 01
@zoezannos âs zine follows a poem that uses the image of a fawn as a metaphor for curiosity, softness, and returning to oneâs most instinctive creative self â a spirit untouched by expectation and filled with wonder. The fawn is a reminder of how creativity begins: raw, intuitive and deeply connected to feeling.
The poem is a reminder of that place, the liminal land between the sensory and the physical. As FAWN, these are our guides into the future.
The zine is hand-bound with front and back panels covered in an upcycled suede, and a faux-fur window featured on the front cover. The story of texture is brought to life on a gorgeous cotton paper stock with a balance of digital collage and tactile embellishments.

THE MAKERâS CAMPAIGN | VOL. 01
@zoezannos x FAWN Studios
Zoe is an artist with a deeply tactile, intuitive practice â led by instinct, emotion, and the materials in their hands. We chose them for the first edition of our Makers Campaign both because they were foundational to FAWNâs beginnings, and because from them, we can learn so much about process as a form of presence. Their work reminds us that making can be a way of remembering.
Our first edition invites Zoe Zannos - our social media wiz and creative light - to share their zine-making process, and their beautifully lucid digital-meets-physical practice. Thanks, Zo. đď¸
FAWN is an space born from our desire to celebrate the digital passage that has marked both of our lives and careers, against the perennial truth that what feels truly realâ is almost usually that which we can touch and hold. We are neither material purists nor digital demagogues. We like the notion of balance.
As part of our new series, we wanted to take the in-house âcampaignâ idea and extend it to our collaborators, as we aim to shed light on the tactile processes that make friends of FAWN the masters and crafters of their creative journeys that we know them to be. And of course, the brief found itself at the liminal space between the physical and digital.
