Red In Particular - A short film documenting artist Yolanda Mazwana during her residency in Cape Town @gorgeousgeorgecpt in 2024
I was drawn to the quiet tension of the residency space - the stillness between brush strokes, the weight of red before it becomes meaning.
The film explores the space between rational and irrational fear by simply staying present in the process. When the studio becomes the bedroom. When creation isn’t scheduled, but constant.
Rather than document outcomes, I stayed with the in-between: hesitation, repetition, silence, residue.
This is less a portrait of an artist, and more a meditation on staying with an idea long enough for it to reveal something uncomfortable - and necessary.
Both documentation and narrative study exploring how voice, image and environment coexist without overpowering one another.

Bread and wine. Two simple things that somehow turn an ordinary day into something memorable.
I opened a bottle of Spier’s Seaward Cabernet Sauvignon @waterfront_houseboats this week; rich, full-bodied, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. I called a friend over, put together a small charcuterie board, and we were all set for the perfect catch-up.
To mark #WorldBreadDay, we paired it with Spier’s red-wine sourdough, a beautiful collaboration between their winemakers and the Vadas artisans. You can actually taste the Cabernet in the loaf: deep, expressive, the kind of flavor that lingers.
It reminded me how good it feels to slow down, share a meal, and let the world soften for a while. 🍷

Back in August, we had the privilege of capturing @womensraces for @nikerunning - A celebration of strength, joy, and the women who keep pushing boundaries on and off the track.
From the open streets to the vibrant energy by the podium, these frames carried the essence of Women’s Day - movement, laughter, community, and power.
