The Thesmophoria was an ancient, women-only festival dedicated to Demeter and Persephone. It served as a religious ritual and a social gathering—an enclosed space where women bonded, exchanged knowledge, and maintained collective life. Rooted in agricultural cycles, it traced the connections between fertility, gender, and the sacred, marking the continuity between life, death, and return. In this event, Thesmophoria is seen not as a reconstruction but as an invocation: a speculative feminist archive unfolding through symbols, gestures, and remains. Drawing attention to what has been buried, fermented, or withheld—and how it might resurface. We explore themes of femininity, loss, grief, and renewal, politics of care, rituals, and shared knowledge – moving through the symbolic realm of goddesses, treating the Thesmophoria as a changing field, not a fixed past. poetry/video/graphics/sound/performances/falafel 14.05.2026 18:00: Exhibition: @chorypiesek @the.post.collective @anna.housiada @ellivassalou @_babsko_ @termagay @comrastro @cioch_aga @natalia.anifanti @weronikawozniak__ @saratrueart falafel by dino: @rahimi00782 18:30: Inner Persephone ritual: performance by @comrastro & @termagay private tarot readings by @comrastro for 5€ 19:30: Hybrid music set by: @_babsko_ curator: @chorypiesek

ASSMR VOL 08 invites back our resident babsko @_babsko_ to tell a story in real time. 25.04.2026 babsko is a Polish artist who builds her sets as stories — not planned in advance, but written in the moment. Using breaks, deep and hypnotic techno, trance and bass as tools, these stories grow from thoughts and feelings she is moving through, shaped by the push and pull between herself and the energy of the people around her. The layers drift, collide, and slowly lock into place. Alongside playing, she is currently part of the Copenhagen-based ASSMR, and previously co-ran the trance-techno collective MUDDER. She is particularly interested in music as a language — a way of communicating without words. This is something she explores through her deep listening sessions, Echoes, where participants meet monthly to choose individual tracks around a shared theme and reflect on the thoughts, sensations and emotions they bring up. [ENG] Entering the New Year slow, grounded and strong with heavy but confident steps. The path forward is clear. We present @_babsko_ 🐚🎶🥢 A new mix drops tomorrow on @radio_kapital 🤍 babsko is a Polish artist currently living in London. Which sounds do our bodies react to and why? What sensory reactions, memories and emotions do they bring? We’ve explored these questions during ‘Echoes’ listening session in January and I hope you can explore them too by listening to the playlist and coming up with your own ‘body’ song. xxx

First mix of the year for @greenrecordings that I wanted to resound the feeling of drowning, re-emerging, floating, drowning, remerging and fighting the waters. Nothing is linear and so is not this compilation which I hope you enjoy and can find helping you get through some of these stages. These few slides feature a few tracks that I found incredibly powerful and healing, from: @felix_djrum @ben_klock @fadi.mohem @cobysey @djmetatron @vril_01

Echoes is a listening session that I run every month with friends who not only like listening to music but also thinking about it deeply. During the last session we let our inner voices out. This time there was much more focus on emotions and how the voice makes us feel - what it makes us to do. For some it was being overly positive, almost to the psychosis level, no matter circumstances - installed by those who tried to protect us. For others it was this overwhelming presence that doesn’t have a specific pitch or sometimes even has no volume - it’s just there lingering - making the possibilities of doing and making so immense that almost unable to differentiate and comprehend. It’s just making everything too big to follow through, so the easiest way is to switch off and dissociate. For others it was an urge to act, to move, at the same time being confined by almost a physical pull or limited space. Energetic suffocation - there is so much we want to say or do but somehow we’re unable to. While other times it was a gentle guiding hand through a pile of sh**t, through the toughest of muds. When everything else is screaming at you, the voice serves almost as an elder, a guiding sign of reason and grounding. All of it, let out at the end with fire (last track on the playlist is a recording of us letting those voices out).

During our last Echoes we’ve explored the theme of hope in all its shades. Sometimes the songs captured more of a hopeless rather than hopeful feeling - whether it was a nostalgic synth, relentless drums that keep on going no matter what or a sad voice overshadowed by the upbeat melody that forces you to dance. For everyone the memory of when that hope or hopelessness comes from or how it makes us feel now vs then, what it does to our body - was different but the unsound layers of each track that we analysed together created a new perspective, a new echo that will follow us. The next theme is Voice in My Head - both sound and vision wise where we’ll also be exploring music videos giving a face to the voice.

I wanted to create a reel and see how weird it was going to make me feel and yeh, it did… But I did it because I wanted to share a project that’s very close to my heart. Last month, I started a group called Echoes - a gathering of friends, people who connected through music, meeting to share the songs that left an imprint on us. I called it Echoes because an echo doesn’t just repeat a sound once heard but it carries on and lives its own story, just like the sounds inside us. Each month we meet around a different theme. We opened with “Echo Song” - my echo was Enigma - Sadeness, which you can hear in the video. The echoes from everyone else are in a playlist I’ll be sharing in my Stories each month after we meet. I’m very grateful for the connections we make through music and even more for the conversations about its depth: how it makes us feel, where, why, and when. Next theme: Hope.
