Amina Hocine (SE) + Barbara Skovmand (DK) The boundaries between sculptural sound art, performance art, and experimental music dissolve as the two composers, Swedish Amina Hocine and local Barbara Skovmand, transform Basement’s raw surroundings into a total experience, where new electronic music forms the soundtrack to a performance in which ancient organ pipes interact with dystopian science fiction. ☉ Friday 06.11.26 Basement

We are still floating and totally overwhelmed. Three days of dark rooms and loud stages and quieter, devastating ones, of music that hits somewhere deep and stays there. Now it is over, but A COLOSSAL WEEKEND 2027 is already in the making. When people travel from near and far, when every single performance on every single stage burns with that kind of intensity, when the whole thing just works, that does not happen by accident. It happens because of you. The artists, the audience, the staff and volunteers at VEGA and Basement, the people who show up and give everything. You brought the energy, curiosity, and love of music that made this tenth edition the most colossal, joyful weekend we have ever had. And that is exactly what drives us, what makes us want to do it all over again. Tickets for A COLOSSAL WEEKEND 2027 are officially out. This festival is non-profit and volunteer-driven, built on passion, stubbornness, and an enormous amount of unpaid hours, and we love every bit of it! If you would consider coming back, it would mean the world to us. We genuinely couldn’t make this without everything that our guests and acts carry with them and share with all of us.
