I have 20 gorilla masks up for sale now. Each one is hand painted with a soft rope tie and cloth backing for comfort. They can just as easily be hung from a hook on the wall as a standalone art piece. 50% of proceeds will go to eSIMS for Gaza. With food and aid trucks blocked at the border, providing communication access is the next best way to help at this time. Your purchase can give someone a crucial connection to the outside world for weeks. It’s hard to overstate how important this can be. Price is $50 + shipping, but you can always donate more! DM for photos of all color options. New color variations and animals masks will also be announced soon! #freepalestine #sculptureart #maskup

I made another round of championship belts for The Ring magazine. This time I took wax castings of my sculpted parts to a foundry rather than cast them in pewter at home. A bit pricey but so much less hassle. Also, solid bronze is just classic. I love the depth of color. Last three photos respectively show a wax casting, followed by bronze pieces straight from the foundry before polishing and treatment with brass black. Thanks @thereyouhaveit3d for the quick, high quality 3D print of my updated main medallion design. Also, thank you @lalolaohlala for the beautiful satin and leather work and @hefk for the killer font layout. #theringmagazine #theringmagazinebelt #sculpture #bronzesculpture

UPDATE! We hit our goal of raising $1000 for Mohmmad’s surgery in less than 48 hours! Thank you to everyone who contributed! You make a difference!! I’m closing the books on this art sale, but you can still donate to his GoFundMe anytime you want. Please keep an eye out for future fundraisers. The success of this one has been inspired me to keep going. ❤️ —————————————————————————————— Hi friends, I’m asking for your help today and in return you can get one of my sculptures. Yes, I am raising funds, but even if you can’t donate you can make a difference just by liking and sharing. My friend @mohmmad._.batniji is currently displaced in Northern Gaza and is in dire need of help to pay for surgery to relieve the constant pain he’s been in ever since the IDF bombed his home. It is a terrible situation. His mother was killed in the attack and their home was destroyed. We are trying to immediately raise $1000 so he can finally reach the amount necessary for his surgery and also help him during his recovery. Here’s how it works. You show me a screenshot of your donation to the gofundme which is at the link in my bio, then once I confirm your donation, you get a sculpture from me. If you want a sculpture but prefer to donate anonymously you can also send the money to me and I will provide screenshots of the donation for your confirmation. If you’re in LA we can arrange a hand off. If not, shipping charges may apply. I’m pricing these pieces below what I would normally charge in order to reach the goal faster. So if you’ve ever wanted a piece by me now’s a great time to get one and you get to support a very worthy cause at the same time. For more information on his situation, I urge you to visit the GoFundMe and read through the updates to better understand. Together we can get Mohmmad back on his feet! Even if you can’t donate today, you can help a lot just by sharing this post! ❤️‍🩹 Pricing: 7” Frog man painted resin cast $50 5” Rude dog painted resin cast $40 3” Rude dog painted 3D print $30 Miniature rude dog 3D print keychain $20

It was a real privilege to build this giant Smurf house for the smurfs movie promo/music video last spring with some good friends. Thanks @johnrichouxdesign and @isthismyfloor again for trusting me with this and showing up with critical resources when the rain came. Working with @oshaseleven on the steel frame was a blast. I couldn’t have done this without his effort and expertise. Thanks @five.times.a.lady , @este_maxwell and @andr3w_considine for the solid work and positive vibes despite the insane turnaround! Special thanks to Max for driving me to the med clinic when I was temporarily blinded by fire tree sap even though he let me walk into the plexiglass at the counter 😅 And of course @lalolaohlala . There are a lot of talented hard-working people in this industry, but she is up there at the top. I can think of few people who would sacrifice so much sleep to get the job done and still manage to be focused and upbeat. She is a treasure ❤️ Build details: first I generated a 3D model in zbrush based on the cartoon reference provided by the client. After approval, that model was 3D printed overnight by @thereyouhaveit3d (thanks guys!!) This gave me a physical model to reference. Then we welded a steel rod frame in five sections in order for the finished piece to be broken down for transport and reassembled on site. Next, we covered the steel frame with eva foam then painted it. Additional details like the gable and chimney were also carved out of foam. Posting commercial work lately feels a bit forced but I have to promote in order to survive and be of use so thanks for taking a look. Headdress I sculpted a couple years ago for fun. I got as far as making a mold for it but casting proved to be pretty difficult. I tried both flex foam and resin but the complexity of the mold made it a painfully slow process. My plan now is to scan the original sculpt after I reassemble it 😅 then 3D print it. Or maybe I’ll print a mold for it that has injection ports and cast it in urethane. Who knows! I can’t help but look at all the things I’d do to improve the sculpt now but I still like it.

Volunteer date feeding and brushing animals with @lalolaohlala this morning at @savinggracesanctuary in Acton. The owner/operators were super kind and took the time to introduce us to all 34 of their rescues and answer our questions. Goats, donkeys, chickens, cows ( Frank, Bernadette, and Gary Indiana Jones) a blind horse named April, a mini pony named Tucker, and a pig, whose life partner is a tortoise (France and Beans). Erich and Kathy do really wonderful work offering long-term care for these animals in need. If you would like to help this sweet couple committed to making a difference through animal kindness please consider making a donation via their GoFundMe.

@kaliuchis upcoming album cover shot by the incredible @elizavetaporodina The design for this disturbing/beautiful mountain of viscera was the result of a very cool collaboration with the talented @griffin.stoddard From his initial concept drawing we worked in clay and combined notes and ideas until a specific form emerged. Eventually I 3D scanned the result of that process and cleaned it up in zbrush. Because the form was so fluid and yet specific, staying true to the design during the actual build was difficult, so having a 3d printed scale model for reference was super helpful. To cut down on weight I welded an 18 gauge steel tube frame and made a lattice of nylon webbing. I also used fiberglass around the base to build out the shape without adding more mass. On top of that structure I then sculpted eva and upholstery foam which we skinned with metallic spandex! Thanks @northernboarder @lalolaohlala @_hefk and @fancymonkeys_official for the awesome help. Super grateful to everyone involved. Working on something so experimental with new techniques was inspiring. Lots of talented people put in a ton of effort to make this video come together at the last second. I’m grateful to have been part of the team. The H.R. @lalolaohlala and I made this patchwork monster and matching rug last summer for a collab between @ugg and @theelderstatesman . I was excited to meet @sethrogen but by the time we got to set to deliver the pieces I was tired and hungry so we went and got Thai food instead. Also I love this song. The whole album by @deadrecipe is great. They have a new project now called @sentimentalfamilyband that’s a total curveball from this sound but equally lovely.

I made this spinning platform and custom chair for @cabaretversatile ‘s weekly show, “Ohlala Nights”, which ran at the Cat’s Crawl in Hollywood last Spring. It was really special getting to contribute to @lalolaohlala ‘s ambitious vision. The chair was modified from an existing design whose wooden frame I replaced with steel to give it a more dramatic angle and extra stability. I also reupholstered it in hot pink because show biz. The tapered legs of the original chair were recreated by cutting elongated V shaped sections out of tube steel, then compressing, welding back together, grinding and polishing. We weren’t sure about access to electrical boxes on stage so the platform was designed to be self contained with no external power. The only workable DC motor I could find had an odd spindle and no mounting bracket so I had to fabricate some weird little custom parts. It was kinda nerve wracking watching from the audience, given all the moving parts, but nothing broke and the talented @itsnataliedavis totally nailed the performance. Seems like there’s never a great time to post about my work these days but I need to advertise. Earlier this year The Ring magazine hit me up to design two championship belts for Naoya Inoue, aka The Monster, the reigning world super bantamweight champ whose accomplishments would take too long to list. Because of the timeline I fabricated the parts in addition to designing them. Since I’m not set up to make this type of thing like a typical belt vendor (with a library of detail parts that can be assembled in various configurations to make molds) I more or less had to learn to digitally sculpt using Zbrush in order to 3D print new parts to take my own molds. It took a lot of effort, but it worked out. The molds I made of the printed parts were created with high temperature silicone. This allowed me to cast the medallions with pewter ingots that I melted down in my shop rather than sourcing it out to a foundry. It was a whole process but definitely worth the experience. After that I had the medallions gold/bronze plated and engraved. Then I assembled everything onto the satin and leather belts that @five.times.a.lady skillfully crafted (thank you, Jamaica!) Also thanks @_hefk for making the font look nice and @fancymonkeys_official for the efficient 3D printing! The belts were presented to Inoue at the Boxer Writers Association of America awards ceremony in NY last June. I was pretty happy to see Inoue with the belts on the cover of Japan’s Boxing Beat magazine the following month. This was a challenging one. It was an honor and I’m glad to have some powerful new tools at my disposal. #ringmagazine #ringmagazinebelt #naoyainoue #bantamweightchampion @theringmagazine
