@tyla x Met Gala ‘24⏳⌛️ a gown made of real sand by the genius @olivier_rousteing and the phenomenal team at @balmain 🤍 sand was the perfect metaphor for the Garden of Time theme— an element of nature that is formed over long periods of erosion and the ebb and flow of tides, a symbol that is quite literally used to keep time and signify decay. We also managed to honor the Sleeping Beauties theme with an exquisitely delicate, one-wear dress 💗 and of course it is also the perfect dress to embody Tyla’s brand 🏝️we molded Tyla’s body into a literal hourglass of sand for this special night 🥹 thank you SO much to the @balmain team for including us in this extremely innovative moment and for your tireless hours of dedication 💗

Our @louisvuitton “dissected”dress— meant to recall a cross section of the human body. The ruffles draw inspiration from anatomical shapes like veins, muscle striation, or cell structures (and skate tracings)! The sliced exterior skirt reveals the “guts” or interior structure of the dress, showcasing the creation of clothing as an art form.
