💫 NEW ON THE BLOG 💫 Tiah Trimboli, Helpmann Academy Resident, speaks about her research ahead of the Summer Open Studios 2025 #meetheartist “Throughout my time in Rome and at the BSR, I aim to develop a Super8 film and photography project that explores the act of moving through a city, using walking as both method and subject. My research is shaped by the tradition of the flâneur – the observer of urban life who wanders aimlessly, absorbing the details of the world – and the historical exclusion of women from this tradition.” The artists’ studios will be open to the public on 11 June 2025 from 4 to 7 pm, and the private view will take place on Thursday 12 June from 6 to 10 pm, featuring a special evening reception. Earlier in April I found out I was the lucky recipient of the 2024 Hanlon Larsen Screen Fellowship! This Sunday Strega now has it’s official launch at @adlfilmfest which feels surreal given the insane amount of work squeezed into just a couple months by lots of people now comes to an end. Eternally grateful for the incredible cast/crew who helped pull this together, thank you for making this experience so special and fun Important shout out to @fernmines @ra_zzle @kate.the.label @motez and @bussy.phillips for their tireless efforts to bring this project to life in literally a matter of weeks (!!!!) and to producer/production designer/dop/editor/everything man @fraserwhitehead who poured so much love and hard work into this from start to finish.
