SkyCity We’re here for it. I’ve been waiting for this one… This was a juggernaut of a job. Moving a lot of gear through multiple elevators and hallways through the megastructure of SkyCity Adelaide. It was worth it. The style, grace and amazing design curated by the amazing director Matt Schrippa and Co-Director Rory Pippan. So much production value pumped into a guided sway through SkyCity’s gravitas and showcasing some of the most palatial sections it has to offer. AFL Season 2026 We’ve only just got through an epic month of April and not even half way through the year and our season of AFL has been huge! From the State of Origin in Optus Stadium to the AFL FOX 360, the fun and the chaos from the Gather Round games at Adelaide Oval and Barossa Park to all the matches from February through to now. Special thanks to my family at NEP and to the Big D’Lights crew in Adelaide & Perth. Love you all! We’ve got through the 1st half and awaiting the next busy patch. The footy is getting lit! ADL GF 2025 TVC After lighting the live broadcast hosting of the ADL Grand Final Supercars Street Party and to celebrate the Adelaide Grand Final Supercars this weekend, I thought it was fitting to share this spectacular TVC from the beautiful team at Simple. The Big D’Lights team went all out with a large overhead soft box rig as well as a well orchestrated SimTrav setup. Rory captured some saucy imagery as the D’Lights team were stationed at every corner of the supercharged supercar with an assortment of flashing lights. We even had a steaming hot Jake Lutz sitting in at the helm of the wheel as our delicious talent for tests. What a time to be alive! Enjoy our ridiculously tasty BTS provided by both Blake and Dani. Flaming Hot D… Lights It’s not every day you get 4 D’Nettes on a TVC all at once… There was so much black and yellow bling. Even the photographer got into it. Bless you Alex. Thank Mike for letting go hard on some experimental fire effect using Blackout Lighting Console. The result was delicious. Thank you Dave and Erica for having our team on this creative project! LIV Golf 2025 We did it!!! Riyadh - Saudi Arabia, Adelaide, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Spain & UK. Took a minute to get myself together after a mammoth worldwide project. A lot of heart, soul, blood, sweat, stress, anxiety and a bucket-load of flirting went into navigating this journey across the continents. A special thanks to my Big D’Lights team. @blakevince & @tatiana.goode got me through a whole lot of work in preparation, travel, rigging, lighting, yelling, crying and airport chaos. F@#k me, the airport gear movements were pure hellish punishment. But all pain is relieved when you can take it out on your assistants. Take it from me. Write that down. The LIV crew were amazing humans that made us feel like we had a second family away from home. It is such a privilege to work alongside all of them. It was a wild adventure. DEFY Productions Night Chase Epic! This was just epic! Thank you again Brad Day for bringing Big D’Lights along for another adrenaline rush project! Motorbikes, spotlight drones, smoke and fumes in a high-octane chase scene through a dark forest. It was a long night lugging big (D) lights through dark trees and sneaky furries. I had to yell at Ben heaps just to get through it. We were wrecked at the end but, it was worth it. This project was pretty damn awesome! Special thanks to Ben Raschella for surviving the night.
