In 2024 we bought a house, wrote a script for a feature, rode around in the back of an ambulance, went to Melbourne (for MIFF accelerator), went to Brisbane (for the ACS national awards, and then again for a documentary project), went to Sydney (to document artists), went to the NT and the APY lands, flipped a car (for film reasons!) and just generally ran amok.
It’s been a big year and I’m eternally grateful for all the opportunities I’ve had and people I get to play and work with. You are all exceptional.
Here’s hoping 2025 can keep delivering.

As another season of Paramedics comes to a close - I want to celebrate my family in green. What a beautiful bunch of legends. They make the long hours fly by, and wild situations feel easy. I won’t miss night shift, but I will miss you all!
Another year, another run in with @raymondgmartin at the Australian Cinematography Awards. It was an honour to receive an award of distinction for my work on @adrianne.l.semmens art-dance film Kuntyiri, which is touring now as part of Ngaratya. I spent four nights on the road in Broken Hill and Kinchega national park chasing light and shadows with the amazing @springonionnoodle focus pulling and all else, being shown beautiful Barkindji land by Adrianne, just after floods had run through, and her partner @petexabordi who we recruited as a grip, a job he was born to do.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this special, and to @amyflannery_ and her amazing soundscape/composition. This was a labour of love and it’s fantastic for it to be recognised like this.
Also a big shout out to my friends and colleagues from SA, some of whom were nominees and some of whom took home some gongs. What a talented and generous bunch of people I am proud to be amongst!
Excited and honored to be a part of this lovely group of beautiful people. 2024 continues to bring the goods.

I’m a bit late to the party on this one, but this year at the @austcine.sa awards I was lucky enough to pick up two golds and a silver for my work on a music video for @mycherie_music , an art film with @adrianne.l.semmens and the feature @emotion_is_dead_film
I also entered the @aadc.com.au awards for the first time, in a single category, and was blown away to come away with an award in the craft section for cinematography for a piece for @orange_oak_horsemanship
I’m so proud of all of these pieces - and while they are all very different - I feel like there is a consistent visual style and sensibility that is starting to define the work. As we are coming towards the end of the year and that time of reflection, I’m so excited to see what comes next, and so grateful for the work that I’ve been able to do, and the people who I’ve been doing it with.
To quote Michael Berzatto - Let it rip, dude.
