WHO RUNS THE WORLD? GIRLS! 🦋 Say hi to Girl Crush, a collaboration with @graftcider and @taleabeer !! Inspired by, one of my favorite drinks, a Paloma, a tequila-based cocktail, they fermented grapefruit and agave for the base of the cider, then layered in more grapefruit, agave, and a touch of sea salt for a more complex flavor. Girl Crush uses the whole grapefruit for a touch of bitterness, lime to add brightness, NY apples, hibiscus for a natural colorant, and sea salt to enhance all flavors. 6.9% ABV 🌸 Graft, based out of the Hudson Valley, NY, formed in the fall of 2016 by Sara and Kyle Sherrer. They wanted to develop a new type of cider company that paid respect to old-world style of cider making while simultaneously experimenting with modern brewing techniques. Thus, Graft was born! 🧡 Talea Beer Co. was founded in 2018 by LeAnn Darland and Tara Hankinson. Both avid homebrewers with MBAs, LeAnn and Tara met after leaving their corporate jobs in tech and media to join the beer industry. Eureka! We’ve found it! 🐰 Buckle Bunny from @eurekaheights makes me proud to be a Houstonain. Eureka Heights Brewing Company was founded in 2015 in the “dark depths of the Eureka Heights fault line and the hellfire of Houston summer”. 🌞 This cream ale is just about as good as it gets. Brewed with 2-row, flakes maize and carafoam malt, Magnum and Willamette hops, this beer is perfect for a sunny afternoon. With a bright and slightly floral hop profile, I can see myself drinking many of these. 🧡 What I most appreciate about this beer, is that it’s approachable. Eureka Heights mission statement seems to be “making interesting, approachable beer.” 10/10 would agree, y’all. If you’re ever in The Heights, stop by and grab yourself a six pack. Happy New Year! I wanted to start off the year with one of my hometown favorites, Saint Arnold Santo! 🌞 A dark, yet super refreshing beer. It is light bodied and floral yet with a distinct dark malt flavor and a Carmel finish. Santo is a black Kölsch, which technically isn’t a style, but that’s one of my favorite things about this beer.
