A few days ago I came across a speech by Jacob Collier at Berklee College of Music and one part of it really stayed with me.
He said that when we learn music, we learn all there is to know. That music is powered by many of the same things that make us human and make life possible and worth living - trust, empathy, courage, language, science, and above all, listening. And that in the end, because of this, you’re only as good a musician as you are a human being.
I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately, and about how I want to carry those ideas into my own path through music. Taking these thoughts with me into the next few weeks:
14.05 | Closing set for @puls.berlin at @kreuzwerk.berlin
16.05 | Ljubljana debut with @puls.berlin x @mir_ror.collective 🇸🇮
20.05 | Ambient set for @lowpass_collective at @ikii.berlin
28.05 | Vinyl set at Richie Hawtin’s @osc_berlin
28.05 | Podcast for the lovely @ungesund.bln
What already felt natural right from the beginning is now locked in officially.
we’re beyond happy to welcome @____elvin.____ as the third resident of the PULS family ❤️
Over the last months, Elvin played several shows with us and completely won us over - not only as an artist, but especially on a personal level. Her musical versatility, feeling at home on both our techno and house floor, only adds to that even more.
A perfect match for where we are and where we’re heading.
Catch her next Thursday closing our Summer Opening in the best possible way!
Stumbled upon this photo while sifting through the archives the other day and it reminded me of the start of my journey into vinyl-digging, not too long ago. My collection has grown quite a bit since then and from now on, I’ve decided I’ll be bringing my records with me to every gig I can, and building some serious upper body strength in the process.
Also started really getting my hands dirty with Ableton and while the progress is admittedly slow, the thought of being able to transform the sounds in my head into real particle vibrations that spread through space and time fills me with excitement :)
We’re extremely excited to have @____elvin.____ join us on board!
For the uninitiated, Elvin has been making waves with her impeccable selections in booths all around her local Berlin, and the whole of Europe.
Amongst her many weekday enterprises, she’s been in charge for a while now of label expansion and events here at Sungate, and will be our newest resident on our @openlabradio show
We’ll soon be sharing a more in-depth interview so you can learn more about her world, but in the meantime, this is our way of getting you acquainted!
Welcome to the team, Elvin!

Feeling proud and grateful to share the recording of my debut set at RSO Berlin ✨
In attempt to translate my sound in the most authentic way possible for an opening slot, I wanted create a story which oscillates between house, techno and bass music, while maintaing the common thread of psychedelia and machine funk. Pulling from the new school and old school as a conscious decision to remind the listener of dance music’s legacy, as well as it’s innovative capability, I chose music by the artists you can find on the last slide.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed playing these tunes out for you.
Much love💋
ANTIDOTE PODCAST 114: ELVIN (@____elvin.____ )
Elvin embodies a vibrant force whose sound reflects both refined intuition and a restless passion for discovery. Born in a musical household where rhythm was ever-present, she knew from an early age that she would follow in her father’s musical footsteps. Yet it was only after she finished her studies and achieved her goal of becoming a lawyer that she turned fully toward music, channeling her innate ability to express herself through music into the electronic realm. This decision led her to leave Spain for Berlin, where her distinctive style quickly drew the attention of leading clubs and collectives.
Elvin has performed at some of Europe’s most iconic venues, including Tresor and Radion in Amsterdam. Her musical language draws from deep listening, dance floor immersion, and years spent navigating the underground and learning about its history. Her sets move with fluid precision bridging warmer shades of techno, dub textures, and broken rhythms with a heavy Detroit influence. On this occasion, she has prepared a select vinyl-only mix in which her selections reveal a thoughtful, club-minded approach rooted in emotion and presence.
Enjoy this hour by Elvin!
Our first Toca label showcase is finally happening this Saturday in Madrid at @lfo.xp with the @phase.ctv crew! We’ve invited our good friends E2NMN, Elvin, and FLAWS, and in our eyes they all have very distinct sonic identities that tie directly into the ethos of Toca. Expect nothing but timeless tracks and future classics! 🎶
It also feels like a very full circle moment having our first showcase with the Phase crew, as they were one of the first crews to have us out in Europe years back, and we share a similar vision when it comes to the passion of keeping musical experiences authentic and meaningful. We can’t wait for this weekend and hope to see y’all there! ❤️
In love with these photos captured by @federica.villi at the last @mazencommunity event for @claudioprc ‘s album release back in June.
Feeling so grateful for the opportunities which have been given to me these past few months. I am consistently digging for new music, practicing my vinyl skills, taking baby steps into music production and challenging myself to be the best version of me that I can be. Thank you to those who recognize this, support my sound and keep pushing me towards my dreams.
My favorite part of playing music is traveling to new cities and connecting with like-minded people who share the same values about our culture and community, people who put in the effort and contribute to the scene. No headliners, no ego, no bullshit, just pure love for the music. That’s exactly what I felt last weekend in Stuttgart thanks to @shockwerk@lex_shockwerk and @puls.berlin .
@mazencommunity was one of the first events I attended the first time I visited Berlin in 2024 and I fell in love with the idea of bringing together artists, fellow music lovers and every person involved in our scene in one way or another outside of a club setting, but without losing the quality music and the importance of a stellar lineup. Now, I was lucky enough to be asked by @giuseppemoram to participate in this next edition which is even more special because it is celebrating the new album release of one of the artists whom I admire most as a DJ and producer, @claudioprc . I’m planning to craft a set which follows the musical line of the tracks in the album, while also intertwining with my own musical identity. Come early for some Detroit house, dub techno and deep grooves to gently ease you into the evening. see you there!
last Wednesday was a defining moment for me, not just because of what the mighty @tresorberlin stands for as a musical institution, but because the experience itself was a measure and merit of how far I’ve come as a DJ. seeing that dancefloor go from empty to packed gave me goosebumps that stayed for the entire 3 hour journey. I am forever grateful to @alisxlis for giving me this opportunity despite having moved here relatively recently, and allowing me to already feel as though I carved myself a small space in the Berlin scene. the best part was stepping out of the infamous cage to be greeted by so many friends and familiar faces waiting to give me a hug and giving me such positive feedback. I will upload the recording of the set very soon, it’s one of the most meaningful sets I have played to date - representing my current sound while also including many old tracks from the Tresor label as an homage to the club and unreleased tracks from dear friends who I wanted to hear their music on this powerful soundsystem… and I’m still smiling a week later :)
