ANTON CORBIJN

Today, Berlin celebrates the opening of Anton Corbijnâs new exhibition at Fotografiska Berlin »Corbijn, Anton«.
For decades, Corbijn has shaped the visual memory of music, film and contemporary culture. His portraits are never simply photographs, they feel like encounters, raw, honest and deeply human.
Artists such as #depechemode #u2 or #nickcave became inseparable from the imagery he created around them.
The show brings together around 150 works spanning more than five decades and it includes not only some of Corbijnâs most iconic portraits, but also a more personal and rarely seen selection of works chosen together with the artist himself.
This evening also features an artist talk between
@antoncorbijn4real and
@herbertgroenemeyer , moderated by Hadnet Tesfai, reflecting on the close relationship between music, image making and visual storytelling.
An absolute must see while in Berlin!
Curated by Johan Vikner in close collaboration with Anton Corbijn, together with co curator Claire Ducresson-Boët.
