« Thelma et Louise » : c’est une image du film mythique de Ridley Scott que le 79e Festival de Cannes, qui s’ouvre la semaine prochaine, a choisi pour affiche. Et deux rôles qui ont inspiré le numéro collector « Nos années Cannes » de Madame Figaro, dans lesquels se sont glissés Marion Cotillard et Virginie Efira, sous l’objectif d’Anton Corbijn. Chacune montera les marches pour deux films cette année. Rencontre entre deux icônes du cinéma français, qui en incarnent à merveille l’audace, la profondeur et la liberté.

Trente-cinq ans plus tard, à la veille du festival de Cannes, #VirginieEfira et #MarionCotillard, complices, réincarnent Thelma et Louise sous l’oeil du photographe et réalisateur culte Anton Corbijn. Les associer était une évidence : elles aussi ont fait bouger les lignes.
Madame Figaro réunit les deux actrices iconiques dans son dernier numéro. Une séquence librement inspirée du film face à l’objectif du photographe Anton Corbijn.

It is beyond belief. We have no connection with Iran for days now. But the ones who managed to have a phone call say: the cities smell like teargas and blood. Beloved People of Iran… it’s not what they deserve. These 47 years. Was not what they deserved. This most dignified resilient nation. They were helpless from inside and outside for all these years. Like they are today and right now. How much more we can scream their pain out here. Screaming to def ears and blind eyes. How much more they would die by the bloody hands of these monsters. and the world would keep only watching and maybe just “condemning” . Condemning makes me just want to vomit these days. “Condemning” but when it comes to action, refusing any possible matter. Like putting IRGC in the terrorist list 3 years ago. Everyone refused ! Keep Condemning but continuing to making deals with the regime. Filling the pockets on the price of the blood of Iranian people. Their hope, their future. Their lives… People of Iran are so alone today. So helpless….
