The new single ‘Plastic Ocean’ is out now. Released today, 1 July 2021 to raise awareness of @PlasticFreeJuly ; a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution. You can watch the official music video premiere on YouTube at the link in my biog now.
The song features myself on piano and vocals, Caroline Stead on cello and Alex Beharrell on bass. I’d like to thank to Caroline for her stunning creation of cello layers and sound effects contributions and to Al for bringing the sea sounds to life on the recording. Also, special thanks go to Tom Astley and Nick Cherbanich for filming and making my vision of this song a reality.
When writing this song from the album ‘Start With Me’ in the summer of 2020, like so many; most of my plans were on hold and I found comfort in singing about escaping to the sea. I reflected on my childhood dream to swim with dolphins and wild swimming in the ocean.
