In this scene, one of the character’s makes a key decision which impacts the rest of the narrative. Her mind is made in between two tracks. . One of the challenges with the project was create atmospheric soundscape in a brief amount of time. Since the film is first and foremost a music video, the sound design was never to be overpowering or distracting from the music. . It was fun to use an ever rising Shepard’s tone as the base for the sound design. ⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️⬆️ . One of the characters throws a bag in the ground, this goes on to become a key sound in the following sequence.💥 . 2 - Through out the video, there’s been an analogue motif in place; tapes playing, signal dials, etc. In the penultimate sequence, the films non-linear physically returns to where the opening scene left off. 🕐🕓🕖🕝🕥 . A soundscape was created for the passing memories flashing by the screen. Apart from repeating some key sounds from the film in reverse, the impact sound from the previous excerpt was used to give rhythm to the sequence.💥💥💥💥 . . . 📣 C R E D I T S 📣. They were differentiated using colour. A cold and blue palette was employed for the past, while a warm and darker one was there for the present. 🥶🥵 . The past scenes were filmed in my room.
