A couple of weeks ago I worked with
@alexandriayes and
@alisondjf of
@royalsheofficial to create a library of images for their upcoming album cycle.
I recently made a batch of epoxy resin filters to place on my camera lens in order to achieve colorful, hazy images, which resulted in the second slide. My homie
@travis_shinn let us shoot in his studio, and he even graciously assisted, during which he had the brilliant idea of using the filter in a
@westcottlighting Optical Spot. This effectively magnified the 72mm filter into a shape large enough for the band to sit in, creating the appearance of an eyeball.
As the shoot progressed, the lot of us got into the creative weeds, with
@ms_magic6 jumping in to style or adjust hair, and Travis randomly moving lights as I shot.
For the grand finale, I set up a roll of metallic vinyl that Travis had bought from a plastics manufacturer. I positioned Alex and Allison in front of it as Travis agitated the film and I shot with long exposure, which resulted in light blurs that resembled electricity.
Big thank you to everyone for helping bring these images to life. Finally,
@royalsheofficial has a new single out now, on Spotify.
P.S. I started a shop for these filters, which also has its own page
@fuzzedglass , so you can get one of your own.
