When I woke up that morning to head North I was hoping, deep down, I wouldn’t see the orange unimog stuck in the bog. I was only hoping cause it would have meant they were out and back on the road, but as luck would have it, when I turned the corner they were still there. So I came with offerings of cold beer and an extra body to help. Three days later we got them out, friends were made, laughs were had, beers were consumed, lessons were learned.
@ourwaytoroam made a YT video about the recovery. Link in my bio… check it out!
Finished up the Virginia job and went straight into another one a bit closer to home. Going into week 4 at Palo Verde and the crew is crushing it. Baja beach time is getting so close I can smell it in the air.
Off the 8 days on the middle fork and shuttled back to Stanley thanks to @jefftherobot then back on my own to a remote lake for a few days. Stopped in Boise to visit my sister and the kids, did some catfishing, swimming, and lots of games. Back on the road with a night in Kanab before landing in Tucson. Great end to a great trip
8 days of beautiful scenic river floating with this OG crew. Hard to believe how long we have all been doing this together thanks to @dean_pritcher . River started out pretty bony so @jefftherobot and I got stuck a few times, totally the rivers fault, but we managed through it. Tons of wildlife, tons of laughs, a literal ton of beer, and I even got on the oars which never happens. 10/10 would do again. Slide 3,8,10 📸 @jordan_clark_haggard
Headed Northbound in route for Stanley Idaho to meet up with some of my oldest friends and float the Middle Fork of the Salmon river. Few days solo, met up with the crew, laughed, and geared up for 8 days on the River.
