@justinesiegal learned at a young age that if she wanted to pursue her dream of playing baseball, she would have to make it happen herself.
Justine never set out to be “the first.” She simply followed her love of the game. Along the way, she became one of the first girls in Ohio to play high school baseball, then broke barriers as the first woman to coach men’s professional baseball and the first woman to throw batting practice to an MLB team during spring training.
Inspired by her own journey and the birth of her daughter, Justine founded @baseballforall , a nonprofit dedicated to giving girls the opportunity to play, coach, and lead in baseball. She didn’t stop there: she went on to co-found the Women’s Pro Baseball League. This summer, the @wpbl_official inaugural season begins—thanks in no small part to Justine’s vision, persistence, and love for the game.
