6th marathon, 2nd marathon in 6 months, finish time of 3:56:12. My sub 4 milestone marathon!
London marathon weekend was an absolute dream, start to finish. I did not know how the race would go and if it was still possible to chase a solid sub 4 after a month of less than perfect training (to the say the least). Illness, injury, travel, etc, made me question it all. But as my amazing coach
@lindaleighlore reminded me: no build is perfect. And that's ok. In fact, I now think it's helpful. Less pressure at the start line! I decided to just go out there and enjoy the city and see what happened. So we locked in, and had ourselves a day!
Thank you to
@newbalancerunning for the whole experience and for making the shoes and gear that make running so comfortable and fun. (Swipe to last slide--apologies in advance for the X-ray jumpscare--for an explanation of why I'm so fanatical about shoe foam tech; the titanium rod in my right leg from an old high school soccer injury makes everything hit different, always has)
More moments from the day in swipe. Including the most epic finish line ever. 🇬🇧
Love you London!!!
