Dom has carved out such a unique and varied practice over the last 30 years it would be hard to pin it down in a couple of paragraphs. For many years he was known as Spoonbender, fashioning music with his gameboy and well known in the UK Chiptune scene of the 90s and early 2000s.
Since the mid 2000s he’s been one half of the Fishery Commission ‘Whitley Bay’s finest purveyors of avant garde electronic pop music’ - think Erasure meets Fat Cat Spilt Series.
As _DS Dom draws on field recordings, abstract textures, and generative music, exploring the spaces between noise and melody.
For the lathe cut and extended bonus material he’s produced a series of luscious long and short form meditations; discreet, warm and dusty environments to immersive yourself into.
