yesterday i shared a carousel focusing on bridal and bridal couture and it had me reflecting on how much i love bridal and shooting it - the fashion informs my approach so much and i’m so lucky to get to document so many epic outfits. it got me thinking about the days that have touched me the most and this one came to mind right away ✨ made by her best person row - wingshan wore custom couture for her wedding day. one of the most gorgeous gowns i’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph - as she moved the fabric was so mesmerising - the silouette, a dream - the extra elements, so fun to work with… but more than anything - you could tell she just felt incredible (!). i couldn’t help but share a few favourite frames from this day. a really special one ✨✨✨ a fusion western / chinese day with traditional chinese elements, togetherness, and the best energy. where everyone came together to celebrate alex + wingshan wearing unreal outfits (!), and no detail was spared. i love it when i get sentimental couples. it’s my favourite thing learning all the little things you’ve planned for your day and it tells me show much about who you are ✨making it easier to tell your story through the photos. #nottinghamwedding #queerwedding #queerlove #custombridal #artwedding

“I encounter Earth-Stepper from my bed, in the midst of a chronic fatigue flare. Movement, for now, is limited to the small choreography of keys and cursor. In this context, the work’s invitation to traverse its dark, watery landscape feels both generous and disorienting. A swirling path guides me forward, somewhere between waymarker and sigil, as footsteps echo through the space. It is unclear whether these footsteps are mine or those who have passed through before me?” My review is now live on @corridor8 for Earth-Stepper by @davidjohnscarborough online @fermynwoods . This artwork is a must-see all those who love exploring intersections of folklore, digital realms and storytelling! 🐰👾

Our second ever @adepticon complete! And we are buzzing! Each year we come away with new ideas and friends. We are so grateful for the community that has whisked us off our feet all week. We were so busy we barely took any photos 💔 but at least we managed to snag the famous Milwaukee lobster meal Bloody Mary. This was the first time Sirens’ Oath in its final for was shown at a con and the reception blew us away. We sold every copy we bought with us and the conversations I had with customers about hope, rage, love, and mermaids made every late night working on this project so so worth it. Thank you to @moriartyminis @warpminiatures @kim_a_tron for making this dream come true. 🧜‍♀️ Gutted to not get wrap up selfie with the brilliant @chroniclerpgs team who we would not be at the show without. Thank you @melancholy_minis @happy.krieger.painting @brightminis @brokenposturepainting who were the best stand buddies! Full circle moment🔘at Saatchi Gallery @saatchi_gallery for launch of The Artist’s Roadmap by @delphiangallery published by @thamesandhudson , a book I’m very honoured to be part of. I contributed a chapter titled “Edges of Identity,” reflecting on navigating the intersections of identity, opportunity, and belonging in the art world. Also ft. fab chapters by @lorifitzdoodles and @charleypeters . It is particularly special because back in 2017 I helped set up Delphian with Ben @benjaminmurphy_ and Nick @nickjsthompson in its earliest days. Seeing how far this little nomadic gallery has come and the community it continues to build for artists, is super wonderful Grateful to share space with so many thoughtful voices. Congratulations to everyone involved. 📖💫🌱

It’s finally time! Wrapping up, packing up… 📦 the first wave of pledges for Sirens’ Oath: Tides Turning by @twisted.spire . 🧜‍♀️ We cleared the Warp Shop floor, set up a long station, and got to work. Blue shimmering dust covers pressed flat against my palms. Character cards slipped into envelopes made from actual seaweed. A wearable gameboard altar cloth folded. Each miniature checked with a base that perfectly fits. Pearlescent dice tumbling into bags. Packing these has been the most peaceful I’ve felt in a while. Small spells to usher in slowness. Sirens’ Oath was written as a ritual and it feels right that it leaves here as one too… If you’re part of this first wave, know that I’ve touched every element before it reaches you. I’ve checked edges, retied cotton bags, replaced imperfect prints. I’ve whispered a quiet thank you as I sealed the parcel. Thank you for trusting this strange tidal little project. Belated posting for Queer East’s @queereast visit to Nottingham Contemporary @nottm_contemp earlier this month… A Sword, A Spectre, A Song travelled from London to Nottingham this December, carrying voices, ghosts, jokes, griefs, karaoke melodies, and quiet spells. I’m still very much in the afterglow. So grateful for the generous, grounding conversation with Eelyn Lee @eelyn.lee.film , and huge thanks to the artists whose films held us so tenderly: Bones Tan Jones @bonestanjones , Eelyn Lee @eelyn.lee.film , Sadia Pineda Hameed @sadiaph , susan pui san lok, and Tianhui Wu @tianhui.thw . Each work offers an expansive, intimate way of thinking through ancestry, memory, inheritance, and identity. Felt, chosen, argued with, sung to. I’ve been thinking more recently about how moving image as a medium in the context of visual arts and the gallery forces us to pause. To sit in uncertainty. A slower art form in many ways. And I’m hoping 2026 makes room for more of this kind of attention. More slowness. More digestion. More time to breathe and stay. Still here… in the afterglow.
