Last night was an evening that I will never forget. In honor of @flotus Dr. Jill Biden’s amazing Girls Leading Change initiative to recognize 10 incredible American girls changing the world, my @hercampusmedia co-founders @stephkaplewis @anniewang and I were invited to a celebration and reception at the White House. Best of all, our daughters were invited to attend with us! Just one month after celebrating 15 years of @hercampus (and the day before my birthday!), it was unbelievably poignant to be invited to such a special and important event with our little girls by our side. As the oldest of 4 sisters, the mother of 3 girls and as someone who has committed her career to creating opportunities for young women, I can think of nothing more special than an event at The White House hosted by Flotus recognizing the power, the strength, the wisdom and the potential within girls. Thank you Flotus for recognizing these amazing girls in this powerful way. Still taking it all in. 🌸💐🌺🌷🌹 446 patrons showed up. Over $352,000 raised. And a room filled with beauty, joy, and purpose. I am incredibly grateful to have served as Co Chair alongside @windsorwestern and @thatsmina . What we created together was special 💎💫. From day one to writing and producing our Devil Wears Prada 👠 mashup, this was truly a labor of love. Our theme, “groundbreaking florals,” 🌸🌷was a playful nod, and everyone understood the assignment. We walked into a room of pink cherry blossoms and it was breathtaking. Thank you @eventsbymonet for bringing that vision to life. To our Odyssey committee… there are no words. Your time, your energy, your willingness to show up, fill tables, secure auction items, and pour into this mission is the reason this event reached the level that it did. I could not have done this without you, and I am so deeply grateful for each of you. So proud to celebrate @maekramer , CHRO of @lorealgroupe USA and a dear friend, on her well-deserved recognition at the CEW Achiever Awards 💫 We first met in 2020 when I interviewed her for @generationhired —and quickly became “Covid friends,” hosting monthly Zoom dinners to stay connected through such an isolating time. That’s who Stephanie is: a connector, a leader, and someone who truly shows up for others. She’s been an incredible champion of our work at @hercampusmedia and a powerful advocate for women. At a time when only 11% of Fortune 500 CEOs are women, it’s not an ambition gap—it’s a sponsorship gap. And Stephanie is helping close it every day. “You can do it all. Just not at the same time. Last week, we painted the campus PINK with our POWER OF YOU campus experience with @armanibeauty at @spelman_college and it was truly spectacular from start to finish! What stood out most is how this wasn’t your standard campus pop up—it was a fully immersive experience designed for Gen Z to show up as their most confident, authentic selves. From the Scent Bar (with notes of passionfruit, frangipani, and vanilla) to Power Portraits captured by professional photographers, every detail invited students to step into their “main character” energy. Add in passionfruit “Power Pops,” exclusive merch, and a Power Lounge to recharge between classes, and the quad truly transformed into an empowerment destination. I left the Spelman College Oval immensely proud of the Her Campus Media team and our partners for bringing this to life across campuses nationwide—from UCLA to The Ohio State University to The University of Alabama Uand finally here at Spelman College in Atlanta. Experiences like this are exactly where culture, community, and brand storytelling intersect in a meaningful way. Shout out to the super stars behind the scenes! One more post on the @odysseyatlanta brunch. This one one is in gratitude for all of the incredible women (and a few good men!) who showed up and showed out to support our Odyssey scholars. Brunch is officially back ✨ and what a morning it was at the 2026 @odysseyatlanta Spring Brunch. Surrounded by an incredible community of friends, supporters, and champions, we were reminded that it truly takes a village to make this work possible. Endless gratitude to our host committee, sponsors, and silent auction donors—your support is what brought this mission to life. And yes… florals for spring? Still groundbreaking. You all understood the assignment—Miranda Priestly would absolutely have given two nods. 🌸 But the day was about so much more than a beautiful brunch. For 25 years, Odyssey has been opening doors, changing lives, and creating pathways for students to see what’s possible. Because the truth is simple: you cannot be what you cannot see. Odyssey gives 300 scholars each year the chance to envision bigger futures—college campuses, careers, and opportunities they may have never imagined—and then equips them to pursue them. And thanks to this incredible community, you didn’t just show up—you showed out. We raised well over $300,000 (and still counting!), blowing our fundraising goal out of the water. 💥 This was a celebration of potential, possibility, and the power of investing in the next generation.
