Well, enormous congrats to @anna.riot.designer and @nanasachiepd for their win at the @british_film_designers_guild awards last night for their incredible work on my video for The Shoemaker! What a lovely thing! We even beat Paddington Bear 😂.

We’ve recently wrapped on MOPSIE, our latest short film starring the talented Jodie Tyack and Sian Reeves as mother and daughter, reuniting after a period of estrangement. My new single “The Shoemaker” is out today! 👞 👞👞 It’s a song about the search for belonging, arranged for creaking upright piano, rich synthesizers, the delicate guitar playing of @shezsheridan and the melancholic beauty once more of @onyxbrass . Directed with some serious skill and imagination by @wildsomethingfilms , the video is a fantastical depiction of the quest for creative perfection. I take on the role of the shoemaker endlessly trying to create the ideal pair of shoes, but discarding them all until they become a giant tower stretching out into the sky, which I ultimately climb..... WE DID IT! We successfully reached our goal and rose to even newer heights, finishing with an unbelievable £9,075 (!!!) on our Kickstarter campaign.
