I got to see this portrait in the wild again today at the @mpts_london as @jamieeast is doing two talks today. It’s always great to bump into Jamie. I saw him on thronecast and decided he looked cool so I slid into his DMs and asked if he wanted some pictures. A week later he’s at my north London studio. I miss that little place. LP was one of the photoshoots that kinda launched my portfolio, I will always be in debt to them and the time they gave me that day. Even if it was too cold to move your fingers. Earlier this year I got to photograph the awesome @therapyontour at Shepherds Bush Empire for her brand launch… but more importantly. She is a friend. As is @the_event_room_ltd who did her video. So it was only fitting that seeing as I appear in a lot of the B roll, TIFF was lovely enough to let me get Steve to cut me an edit. Perfect timing while everyone is posting about not showing your work, but show you working. So here is me. Running around a stage with all the lights and all the haze. I photographed this portrait of @tomiwa.edun backstage at @nationaltheatre for a magazine article about pre and post show rituals. The tiny personal booths each actor gets inside the dressing rooms was a great, but tight, space to shoot in. Tomiwa was awesome to chat to.
