Step Inside a Mid-Century Modern Home by Davidov Architects
Amongst a leafy mid-century streetscape, LDS II Residence by Davidov Architects transforms two adjacent homes into a single, cohesive family residence — without adding a single square metre. In Caulfield North, where parquetry floors carry decades of family life and granite thresholds have greeted generations of guests, the question was never how to start fresh — but how to bring two histories gracefully together.

Before the day begins.
A stone bowl. A single flame. A small ritual of arrival … chosen before the inbox, before the noise.
The mood of a home is set in the smallest gestures: how light is invited in, what we touch first, where we pause before we begin.
This is HINGA. The architecture of pause, made tangible.

Vase by @studiojencquel for @whenobjectswork .
Its frosted finish softly diffuses the light, giving it a gentle, velvety look that softens its edges.
It feels solid, yet still light to the eye.

God påske!😊 Håper alle koser seg med sludd og regn og storm!😅 Og husk: Det er bedre med én hare i en @whenobjectswork vase enn 10 på taket.
Ps: Ingen dyr ble skadet under denne innspillingen av denne filmen.
We try to reduce visual noise—especially in the kitchen.
That means integrating appliances, minimizing hardware, and carrying materials as continuously as possible.
This allows the warm nods to the 1929 craftsman-style house to have more impact.
The tall cabinets conceal the fridge and freezer with an integrated pull in the frame. A subtle finger pull along the cooktop cabinets allows the oven to be framed in wood.
Even the horizontal datum—set by the millwork & windows—continues subtly across the main floor from the living room.
The goal isn’t minimalism for its own sake, but integration and clarity.

CHURCHILL — a layered kitchen designed for a Brussels apartment.
Mouldings echo the apartment’s original architecture, quietly extending its history into the present.
A Pompadour grey paneled back kitchen conceals cupboards, laundry and fridge behind tailored lines, while the main kitchen unfolds in deep green, paired with smoked walnut and an inox countertop.
Architectural, discreet, and made to live with the home.
